Updates since last post

Messed up on my persistence part, got married though on 25th Feb. May be this is not the best place to write my thoughts but who's going to find this blog, even i struggled for 5 minutes.

So....., persistence....... started preparing for SSC CGL again and maybe I'll start on S&WI too from Monday.

Analyzed mock test that i attempted a while ago 113/200 not so good score for clearing pre, 150 minimum for 3rd list.

Also started on python since yesterday.

Lot of initiatives at once, let's see where it goes. Writing stuff helps though

got a small diary to write my daily or short term tasks/goals and stuff, reduces stress on my mind.

persistence is the key, i guess

Day 2

I finished checkpoint 1 in dulingo and i feel like they are just teaching how to say random sentences in Japanese rather than actual grammar , but George (japanese from zero) makes up for it.

I read in their blog(dulingo)  that i can clear N5 of JLPT if i finish their course (not that i want to), and i think that may be true.

Dulingo is more like a practising app rather than a learning one, just pick a book or course and use dulingo in parallel . Courses can be Japanesepod101.com (website course ), Japanese from zero (book+ video) . do not use genki or mina nonihongo for self study.

        just finished few grammar part:

wa :- topic marker , ga :- subject marker , no :- possession marker , ka :- question mark

Adjectives --> i adjectives like shiroi , na adjectives  and no adjectives (mentioned above)

kore -This(near me) , sore- that(near other person) , are- that(far) , dore - who

kocchi , socchi , acchi, docchi (works same way)

watashi, ore, boku - i,me , anata - you , tabun - maybe , kare - he/him , kanojo - she/her

moto - ex , tomodachi - friend , dare - when

    It's from JFZ videos.

Learning Japanese for anime Day 1

Although it says day 1 , it's not my first day of learning Japanese. I've been at it for couple of days and i learned basics like hiragana. But before that i think i need to explain why am i learning Japanese, well the title of this blog explains pretty much all of it , but it doesn't explain the problem i face while watching anime and that is i miss most of the visual part of anime due to subtitles, so i decided to learn the damn language and before we go any further let me make one thing clear , my goal is to understand (listening) Japanese not anything else.

1) No one will teach you just the listening part So, i guess we need to learn basic reading.

2) Best way to start is learning hiragana and youtube channel japanesepod101 has an hour long video on how to remember hiragana, they do have katakana version too but i haven't learned them maybe i wouldn't need katakana hopefully.

3) That video helped me learn them but i keep forgetting them so installed anki and copied some kana decks and dulingo is a good app for practising

4) I am also watching Japanese from zero book videos on youtube for learning grammar.

Well that's pretty it, i know hiragana (all of them) and a couple of words. Let's see where this goes.
